Win XP not giving a Drive Letter to my 4gb Xporter XT

Windows XP will recognize the drive, but it won't let me access it. I noticed that it is in the Safely Remove Hardware Utility, but it does not have a drive letter assigned to it. Any help?

Can you try to uninstall the driver for the usb dirve then try to plug the usb drive in to the system again to see if you get the same issues? if you do can you try that usb drive on an other system for me to see it you get the same issues so that way we know it's the usb drive that is bad.
