I called them and they assured me my old price would remain in effect--only for new customers they said.

( now let's see if this is true and for how long).

I thought I read where it changes for current members the first of the year (2011) (not sure though) -- and I can't get into "Member Details" bcz I'm not a member -- let us know what it says in the 'member details' link...

Netflix Inc will offer its first unlimited streaming-only subscription plan in the United States

Apparently they think their Canadian model works :)

well seems the customer rep I talked to was wrong as I just received an email saying my account goes up a dollar if I still want the dvd's, or just the streaming for a dollar less than my current charges.
I think I can live with a dollar increase that still keeps the bill under $10. netflix is still one of the better deals out there in my book.
