Greetings:

Due to a video and audio problem after 6 month of service that I have posted here (http://www.patriotmem.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3913), I decide to upgrade the firmware for the first time. Unfortunately, I forget to write down what was the stock firmware information before upgrading. However, per Patriot tech support if I have a boot code 16 I must use P04 or P05 Beta. After the upgrade to firmware P04 all my movie is now play in stereo (my receiver auto decode multi channel) and the volume is pretty weak in comparison to the old firmware. I try several options (HDMI LPCM, HDMI LPCM MULTI CH, HDMI RAW) for the Audio setup with no success. I have to increase the volume all the way up (previous volume is -18) on my Denon receiver AVR-4806 in order to hear the sound. Does anyone experience similar problem? Is it possible to flash back to the OEM firmware? If so, which one?

Thanks.

Below is my firmware after the upgrade

System Revision P020P04
Kernel revision 289552
Bootup 16 Bootcode: 0000.0202.0016
Audio 288037 Video 295881

AC3 6CH: 96 88 48 44 32

Go to the PO5B that is for bootcode 16 and see if it fixes the issue. Sounds like a bad flash to me.

I flash back to P01 using the method describe here in this forum using composite video. The sound now is back the way it was. Finally, I flash with P04. The sound seems to be better and louder.

Thank you for your suggestion though.
