I had a projector hooked to the PBO via HDMI cable (20 ft) and the picture was fine, but no audio. Tried a different HDMI cable (6 ft) and it worked fine. Tried the (what I thought was) faulty HDMI cable on my TV and the audio worked
I can understand bad cables, but why would a cable work on one system and not the other? Do you think the length would have anything to do with certain systems not accepting the "handshake"?

I have not heard of cable length issues (except for very very long runs) on hdmi, but it seems odd that one cable (20') would work fine for one display and fail on another (while a separate cable (6') works on both).
I've got no answers for you. I'd think it was the cable (if it is easy to exchange it for a new one, I would try that), but you show that it works elsewhere....
But here's my situation: I hooked up the pbo (w/acryan firm) to a composite hookup in the car entertainment system. No audio was detected or passed along.
I haven't had a chance to check this out more fully, but I was shocked that no composite sound was detected. I'll be checking the output of the pbo and the inputs of the car entertainment system.
Anyway, good luck,

Get a cable with a ferrite core at the end, this should solve your problem.

Wig if you have it set to raw and hdmi out on the audio it's passing straight digital signal and the line outs wouldn't work.

Thanks, I'll give that ferrite core a shot.
