IMHO, the new forum layout was ill conceived and not thought out in any type of rational manner.

AND IT SUCKS!

Not to mention it keeps changing........... and not in any rational way or with any improvements.

Kinda what I'd call a cluster-f#&%.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::mad::mad:

GET IT TOGETHER PATRIOT and try and use some common sense and look before you leap on this forum.

Gotta' agree - the new forum layout is not somthing I consider an improvement - If the PBO didn't function as well as it does for what I use it for (basically playing BD content from USB connected Ext. storage) -- I'de be placing an order for a ACRyan Mini or an Asus OPlay - or pre-ordering a popbox or possibly a Boxee Box - I keep looking/thinking that I'de like one of these other boxes, but the realization that the PBO does most of what these other boxes offer (excluding some online web content) keeps me from shelling out the $$

We all seem addicted to our PBO's for one reason or another, mainly because it does a good job for the most part -- I think our major issue is with PM and the way it oversees this forum and/or the (non)-support of this forum and the changing layout that has drawn a love/hate relationship with many forum members/PBO owners

Most of us don't take to change with an open heart - hopefully as time passes this change will improve -- or we will all just get used to the fact that we have to adapt and go with the flow - at this point the only alternative is to defect to another mfgr's box - or possibly flash another mfgr's firmware on the PBO and maybe brick it

I remain a loyal PBO owner in the hopes that "maybe" PM will some day release a nicely featured fw version which "can" be done - as proven by the other boxes that use the same realtek chipset -- but in the mean time - the many knowledgeable forum members are solving most of the issues we have to deal with - and PM seems happy to 'ride that wave' but confuse the resolution of the issues by re-formatting the Forums' layout just as most of us have become comfortable with the past forums' layout

Well, if you call that a 'rant' hopefully it was done in a mannor that didn't offend anyone (including PM)...
Off to the next issue at hand!!

I'll sign off with a quote from a well known and respected forum member by saying - "Enjoy your PBO" - :D

Yeah........ I like my PBO pretty good too.

The lack of common sense on how support & this forum are handled is just plain stupid though.

I mean come on.it ain't rocket science.

The whole point to change is to make things easier ...hence "better".

I do not see this with the new forum layout.

The whole sub topic idea is kinda ridiculous as we are only dealing with one thing.......... the PBO.

Well ordered stickies and a good moderator combining threads when called for would be all that is needed.

Making things more complicated is not the answer.

STREAMLINING IS.

hint, hint..................

Sorry if I hurt anyones feelings.....but it's a tough love thing. TRUTH IS TRUTH and TRUTH will set you free. ;)

OK, this was posted "5/6, 09:06 PM", I have just stumped on it now "5/7, 5:04 AM" and I have been here since "5/7, 12:30 AM".

reason ? outatouch0 message on the "ranting thread" has been blocking watcher post on this thread. Simply because outatouch0 post was made later (the fact that I did read outatouch's post several ours ago didn't change anything and outatouch's message kept showing as the most recent "unread" post in the subforum).

I am either getting rusty or this forum is getting harder to track :p, with the new layout I am not even sure when my message will get through ..

It's not you.......... IT's THIS STUPID NEW FORUM LAYOUT. The humans responsible have "NO CLUE" as to proper layout or use of a forum.
They need to go back to playing vid games or whatever they have a talent for. Cause their talent does not lie in forum management or creation.

A FACT!

Sorry if the truth hurts. IT NEEDED SAID!
