I stupidly purchased a 2GB (2 x 1GB) kit of PC2-5300 DDR2-667 Patriot Extreme Performance Low Latency Memory (Instead of my usual better Corsair brand)that is anything but what I'd call Extreme Performance since it does not allow any over clocking above rated 667MHz.
Yes it does run at 667 MHz with manually set timings of 4-4-4-12 at 1T using 1.83 volts as advertised but any relaxed timings and increased voltages to over clock this kit above 667 MHz forget, complete instability every time. It is the worst over clocking memory I've ever purchased plain and simple! Tried it on two different mother boards EVGA nForce 650i Ultra T and ASRock 4Core DUAL VSTA Ultra with same dismal memory performance! Patriot must not use good micron chips for their Extreme Performance LLK memory, because
mine kit is Elphida and thiese sticks suck.
