Howdy

Was wondering if someone could assist please re: query I have on the Patriot Valkyrie NAS system Model # PCNASVK35S2.

Does the above unit support SATA II or more particularly, 2 x SEAGATE 3.5" Barracuda 7200.12, 1TB, 7200RPM, 32MB, SATA2 3.0Gb/s, NCQ, 3YR HARD DISK DRIVES, HDD with model numbers ST31000340AS / ST31000333AS/ST31000528AS - or is the Valkyrie only limited to non SATA II units.

If the former, I'd be very interested to hear of any feedback re: the usage of the above drives within this unit, especially given that excl. postage, these drives can now be obtained for AUD$98.95 each(http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=3486)

Many thanks, cheers

if i get what you're asking, it supports all SATA I/II, i would think it would support that drive, as for the speed im not certain on it yet really, right now im using an alternate way to transfer files onto the disks i want to use in it as the transfer rates are very slow, but this is from USB to internal drives on the device. although ive read a few times on forums that its an error in windows 7 and the usb speeds arent exactly giving out what they should... dont know if its true..
