View Full Version : Only recognize XT 8gb on startup

Hello everyone,
recently bought an 8gb Patriot XT flash drive. I have a win7 desktop and a vista laptop. Vista works as expected but for windows7 it won't recognize the drive when I plug it in. It only recognizes it if I restart the computer with the drive plugged in. I realize this is probably a problem with my OS or MoBo drivers and not the flash but I was wondering if anybody had any advice.

Hey Joey,

It definitely sounds like a drivers issue. Have you tried the latest drivers from your system/mobo manufacturers website? Look for a support and/or downloads section for chipset, usb, or motherboard drivers.
