Hi
I have been running a 2GB Patriot eXtreme Performance DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 kit on my new build and would like to ask a question.
Can I add another 1 gig stick of the eXtreme Performance DDR2 to my current configuration? Also the settings in the bios that I am currently using are 4-4-4-12 at 2.2 volts.
Currently running at 800mhz in dual channel mode. I don't mind about loosing the ability to run dual channel as long as i am able to use the 3 gigs.
Thank you.

It depends on the chipset. Most chipsets that I am aware in the last few years can accept a single stick added to one of the channels. Intels can I'm pretty sure its also smart enough to run dual channel for the memory address there is dual ch. and then switch to single channel for the rest, say 2-3GB would be single channel access and dual for 0-2GB.

As for your chipset, I don't know. Stick it in and find out.
