Hello,

I am trying to share my iPhoto library using the Gear Box NAS.

I can access the library folder and also most of its files - but not all!
Some files/folders within the library folder are not visible when I connect over the Gear Box SMB share. When I mount the usb disk with a other computer the files are all there!

I am quite sure that this is not a matter of filenames and SMB protocol or NTFS filesystem: When I connect the same drive to a linux based smb-server (debian etch with samba server and ntfsutils) and connect to the drive via this smb-share I can see all files and folder of my iPhoto library.

It is also not a matter of fork depth:
path to Files that are there e.g. /iPhoto/iPhoto Lib/Data.noindex/1999/Laura/...

path to files that are physically there but to listed by Gear Box smb-share e.g. /iPhoto/iPhoto Lib/Originals/1999/Laura/...
(the folder Originals lists in the share but listed as empty!)

Any idea?
Shall I send you some further informations (list of filenames etc.?) - I think it might be a firmware issue...

Best Regards
BB

I just verified the same issue when I use the Gear Box FTP (NFS) share.

The same files are missing.

Further with FTP the access rights are not correct. I have only read access though I created a user that should have rw-access!

Furthermore I just figured out that this behavior holds for all things I have on the disk! Many many files are missing in the shares of the Gear Box - but they are physically on the disk!
