View Full Version : Stream PC screen to PBO
I'm very new to this, so I'm not sure I'm using the correct terminology. I want to watch "non saveable" internet video (Not Youtube or Hulu) on my TV via the PBO. I've tried using TVersity to "stream" the video to PBO, but can't figure it out.
Of course I can revert back to the VGA cable, but that seems like a step back after using this box.
Thanks in advance!

The PBO doesn't have a web browser, so basically there is "NO WAY TO ACCESS ONLINE CONTENT" out of the box on the PBO.
That said, PBO can work with third party software to access online content .. currently only TVersity (http://tversity.com/)and Playon (http://www.playon.tv/playon/content-providers?loc=pl1)are reported to work (didn't personally try them), that said, even those programs has their limitations and only work with handful of online media providers (provider site need to speak a language that TVersity/Playon can understand).

I got TVersity to work well. It was simple. Haven't tested PlayOn yet. For TVersity, you need to install TVersity on your PC. Make sure the PC has the same subnet mask as the PBO. TVersity runs as a service on a Windows PC and will automatically start when the Windows PC is powered up. From the PBO, all you need to do is to Select File Browser and then UPnP. It should show up in the list, prefixed with the PC Name. Now you've be able to watch any media that you've setup on your PC through the TVersity interface.

wizzaard - I'm having problems playing .mkv, .mpeg4, .m4v files. Avi video files works awesome. Seams like i can't play the high-def format files only over the network, but when i plug USB HDD straight to PBO it works well.
P.S. - i m using TVersity and looks like that i m having some codec problem with TVersity, but i m not sure how to tackle it!
Any thoughts/suggestion??
