My computer guru tells me that my Patriot Xporter Magnum 64GB only opens about 200MB. There is much more. I have tried with Windows7 to format the entire flash drive all to no avail. Does anybody know how to utilized this piece of equipment. At the moment, I am feeling that I have wasted a good bit of money. How do you format and use this device?

I just bought this thumb drive, and used it to transfer some files. Now I cannot format it at all. Windows says it is unable to complete the format. What is the trick behind getting this formatted?

Hello,
There shouldn't be any trick to it at all and it should be straightforward. Are you able to read/write and transfer files to/from it?
Can you post the screenshot of the error message you are seeing?

Now I am unable to read/write and transfer from it. Can't do anything, totally frozen. I get the same message that Windows cannot complete format. The hour glass symbol is present on that screen. I'll try this on another computer.
