ADS problems

I have set up the NAS, but none can access to the fold that I create!
I am using the ADS, even I have set the user right to read/write.

Finally I can map the drive from the folder that I have created.
The problem is you cannot use the name of the NAS instead you have to use the ip address! Even when i am using looking into the Upnp from the Patriot's own Box Office; it keep asking for the password unless I save the shortcut!
My Dlink DS323 has never ask me! :(:mad:

One more big problem is the crshing while copying!

I've got the same Problem with crashing.
Got one of the first devices, latest Firmware.

When I'm copying large files (about 5-8 GB) it hangs. Then my computer loose it's connectivity, also Internet is down. I have to deactivate and reactivate the NIC and than I have to wait for about 3 minutes.

When I try to enter the directory on the Valkyrie I was in last time, it hangs again. All other directories I can enter.

When I shut down the Valkyrie and restart the Valkyrie... everything is working again.

I ditn't have this problems with the CORZA. Runs really fine... also with large files.

The biggest job is the Box Office cannot run properly with its UPnP server! Some of the mp3s stop player with invalid file! and it works fine in PC directory!

Another biggest problem is the NAS not supporting the flac audio files! The Dlink NAS-323 works!

I have both NAS, but this giviing me nothing better than 323:confused:

Please check the following:

1) can't access folders
a) Did ADS setup successfully?
b) was folder set access rights fully comply to user access?
c) for FTP under ADS, try use user name for both USR and pasword.


2) UPNP, please check if the folder is being assigned for upnp after enabling?

ADS is working, all the users are there.
upnp is up , mp3, iso are working, but not flac files!

I have no problem using PBO, but not not working from my Onkyo NR-807 receiver. It play Flac files from Dlink but not Balkyrie.

I can see the files, but refuse to play. As I have said before, if the files are in the Dlink DNS-323 it plays perfectly!

Also reminds me that the upnp server is not running properly, I believe there is one guy already mentioned about the album list is not wroking!:mad:

I notice one more thing is I have never see the Valkyrie as an Upnp in 'My Networks Places' from computers, however, all my other Upnp devices are shown!

Is it normal? Even though I can see from PBO!

I do have a folder called music in the public folder.
If I make a folder outside, when browsing other than Upnp,the PBO keep asking password & not working.
