error 550 on FTP copy

Gearbox all of a sudden stops accepting files. I tried both FTP and samba, FTP gives me "error 550 - requested action not taken" and samba simply hangs.

I've tried rebooting Gearbox, computer and router, to no avail. Scan disk doesn't do anything.

Do I really need to return this device?

what firmware you are running?

please use the FAT32 version of the firmware rightnow. I am working on getting a revision setup tonight.

FAT32 works way better, no 550 error and I like the idea I can now fill the drive connected to computer and do not have to copy files to drive via network, as I had to do with NTFS.

Half of Gearbox' advertised features don 't work, though:

-iTunes server is too slow to be usable (3 minutes loading 5 gig library? really)
-disk hibernation (drive never wakes up, tried with several models, flash and hard drive)
-print server is flaky, mostly doesn't work with my lexmark x4530

You should drop these features, or make them work, period. Or at least answer this criticism - are fixes in works?

@stooovie: Try to rename the shared folder. This error occurs if the folder contains non-english characters like ä,ö,ü etc.
