Hi,

sorry for my bad english..

I have a PBO since e few days... after build in a Harddisk, start Samba and connect a 300mbit WiFi Access Point on LAN-Port of PBO (Siemens Gigaset SE365) this are my experiences:

- sharing Folder in Windows 7 works. I get access from PBO to give free folders on PC like Music, Videos, etc. But not to give free Partitions like d:\Multimedia. In this case PBO will have a passwort, but under Windows 7 no password set.

- streaming HD-Files like mkp works fine. Connecting rate listen in my router (Fritz!Box 7270 WLAN) ist about 220 mbit/s, start playing files PBO shows me about 20.000 kb/s.

- I can connect to PBO from PC, under Network shows me the folder \\venus

- to copy files from PC to intern HD of PBO (Folder Venus) i have only transferrate about max. 3 - 4 MB/s ... ist this normal ?

- The Fritz!Boy supports Network HD on USB-Port. But PBO don't find it. To connect from Windows to the HD it's neccesary to enter IP and Name of the Router/Harddisk in Windows Explorer. Is it possible to connect it to PBO ?

I hope I install all right as beginner. Thanks for answer my questions.

Greetings from Switzerland

Patrick

win 7 check the sticky for fix. It's a win 7 native issue.

wifi depends on range from router, but if you play high def file.. (10GB+) recommend use CAT5e or Wireless N.

transfer speed varies depends on connection...

I am not sure what Fritz!Boy is.... but if you are using Win 7 check the sticky for fix.

Also recommend update firmware from the sticky as well.

@ Patriot_CJ

Fritz!Box ist one of the most popular Router in Europe:

ADSL-Modem, Telefonstation, VoIP-Client and more...

look here: http://www.avm.de/en/Produkte/FRITZBox/FRITZ_Box_Fon_WLAN_7270/index.php

-Access to USB-Harddisc connect on Router now works: Only enter the IP of the Router under "My_Shortcuts" and now can connect.

Thanks for answers...
