I have a subj MoBo (latest 1707 bios) with 1Gb*2 1066Mhz 5-5-5-9 2.4v Patriot kit. I have the stability problems and system freezes. TestMem86+ hangs up during test 5 - "e;block move, 64 moves"e; with ~3% complete. Windows test utilities such as S&M v1.8.2b also give the errors during memory test.
In BIOS setup I use standard values for CPU fsb (266Mhz), manual memory speed & voltage - 1066Mhz@2.4v
Maximum memory speed I can reach without system crashes is 933Mhz (311 fsb)
From BIOS setup I can only adjust main timings (CAS - 5; RAS - 5; RAS-to-CAS - 5; RAS activate to precharge - 9 & Write Recovery Time - I set it to 2, but I don't know exact value and can't find it on your product page at http://www.patriotmem.com/products/detailp.jsp?prodline=5&catid=2&prodgroupid=65&id=576&type=1 or in PDF manual at http://www.patriotmem.com/products/specs/8500el_R.pdf )
Other timings I can set from MemSet utility under WinXP. I will appreciate your if you help me and provide me with this additional timings such as:
0. Refresh mode select - Disab..15,6µs..7,8..3,9..1,9µs..64clk [78µs now]
1. Page Close idle timer - 0T..256T...Infinite [16T]
2. Refresh Cycle Time (tRFC) - 0..63 [25]
3. Read Delay (tRD) - 2..14 [7]
4. Write to Precharge command - 5..15 [14]
5. Write to read command - 5..12 [11]
6. Read-Write turnaround clock - 6..9 [8]
7. Write-Read turnaround clock - 3..6 [6]
8. Read to Precharge - (tRTP) - 4..6 [5]
9. Write-Write turnaround clock - 3..6 [6]
