Hey, I just plugged in my XT 8GB flash drive and Windows 7 keeps telling me that I have to update or reinstall the driver. When I click to do that, it says that it failed. What do I do?

Hello,
I'm sorry I missed this thread.
Our usb drives should be complete plug and play.
I would advise you to check your motherboard manufacturers' website for all chipset, usb, lan drivers.
It could have also came with the cd/dvd with the mobo.

a2kcollett,
Which version of W7 and Patriot drive do you have? As far as I know, Bitlocker encyption for Windows 7 has compatibility issues with XP, Vista. MS should be developing a fix for this. This is the only incompatibiliy usb scenario I know of regarding W7/Vista/XP.
Maybe something internal is conflicting within your dual-boot? By any chance have you tried your usb drive on a system that is solely W7?
