Firmware - Driver?

According to Device Manager in Windows 7, my Torqz 64GB SSD has driver version 6.1.7600.16385, 6/21/2006 installed.
I know 6.1.7600.16385 is the build version of Win 7.

According to HD Tune - Info tab, I have firmware 1571 installed, which I believe is the latest. I thought firmware and drivers were the same, appears I was wrong.

Shouldn't there be a newer driver available than one from 2006?

The short answer is that they're two different things. No need to worry.
