The drive I got had the newest firmware. I didn't even look at the jumper. Can anyone tell me if there's room in the jumper area to hang the included jumper (like hang it off a single pin without actually closing two pins)?

My Antec 900 case is freaking cramped (seriously - loved it when I bought it, now I can't stand it because doing anything inside it without taking the whole thing apart is a cramped pain in the rear end). If there is space to "hang" the jumper, I'll pull it out and place it on a pin so I won't loose it. Otherwise I'll avoid going into the case.

Thanks :)

There is plenty of room there to "hang" it from one pin. I don't know if it's a good idea or not, but the room is there. I would just tape it to the drive instead. Better yet have a small matchbox (mine came with one) in the case and put some extra screws, etc, and the jumper in the box. That's my thought of the day. Have a good one.

Dreven,

If you can manage to get the metal part in the jumper to touch the pins it should work. It doesn't necessarily need to be pushed in all the way.
