I have 4 gigs (2 sticks) of PVS34G1333LLK (DDR3-1300) running at 7,7,7,20 in my Asus Maximus Extreme motherboard with Vista x64. The system is very stable and the memory is quite fast. I would like to add two more identical modules to give me 8 gigs total, but I read a NewEgg customer response from Guy at Patriot who said this would lead to system instability. “When using high performance modules it is not recommended to occupy all memory banks as the higher bandwidth on these modules will require the timings and the voltage to be even more tweaked and may cause instability with the system.” Is this so? If so, are there timing values which would let me use them in a stable configuration or do I need to choose a different series of ram to populate all of my memory slots? If I do need to use a different series of ram I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get the system up to 8 gigs with speed and stability. I’ve been a big fan of Patriot memory both for the price and performance and haven’t had any problems in the other systems I’ve built around it.

I wouldn't say 'impossible' per say however we can't garuntee that you would be able to hit the rated specs with the extra load on the memory controller. Since the kits are tested in pairs, the testing we've done won't necessarily accomadate for the extra set. That's not to say the board's memory controller can't handle it.
If running a 1333 rated kit at only 1300, you might be able to get close to the rated specs. The term "instability" here should be in reference to the rated dual channel specs. You might have to relax the specs a little if opting to run the extra set.
