I was curious if there is a safe way to partition a flash drive so that one partition can hold an encrypted volume and the other can hold the encryption software. Is it possible to do it safely? Most 3rd party software warns that ruining the flash drive is very possible. Thanks in advance for your time.

Depending on the size of the drive you are attempting to partition, the drive will be partitioned as a normal drive would be.
How big is the Flash drive you are attempting to partition?

64 gig xporter magnum.
if it is possible can you recommend how to go about doing it. I don't want to hurt this thing.
I am running xp pro and i am not given any options under drive management, i haven't tried using fdisk yet either. I was hoping for a fairly simple solution.
(edit) I found the "usb disk pro" link on your site but the links are down for site upgrade. It looks like what i would need, can you confirm this? Thanks again for helping me with my noob questions.
(edit) Found what i was looking for in truecrypt software. Think i have it figured out. Thanks again.
